CarPlay Setup & Troubleshooting
Set up your Soundz 23.5 CarPlay Adapter, then follow the pairing and power checks below if Apple CarPlay isn’t connecting.
These instructions are for the Soundz 23.5 CarPlay Adapter used with Skyline OS. The Elite BE920WCPA.HD uses its own wireless Apple CarPlay setup.

Follow the CarPlay pairing steps on your motorcycle.
Video starts at 4:43 — CarPlay adapter installation, followed by radio and iPhone setup.
Pairing steps
Bluetooth pairing is part of this setup. Once connected, use Apple CarPlay for music playback rather than the radio’s Bluetooth audio source.
If CarPlay is not connecting or the Soundz device is not appearing correctly, follow the steps below in order. Do not skip steps.
Clear Previous Bluetooth Pairings on Your Phone
- Open Settings → Bluetooth
- Forget the following devices if they appear: HD-Rider, Soundz (if previously attempted)
Clear Bluetooth Devices from the Motorcycle Radio
- Open the motorcycle radio Settings
- Go to Device Manager
- Remove the saved Bluetooth devices to clear possible pairing conflicts. You will need to pair any devices you use again.
Pair the Motorcycle to the Soundz Device
- Start Bluetooth pairing from the motorcycle radio
- Pair the motorcycle to the Soundz device first
- Confirm the Soundz device is set to Role Configuration: Rider
Pair Your Phone
- After the motorcycle and Soundz device are paired, pair your phone to the motorcycle
- Confirm Apple CarPlay connects normally
Additional Power and Relay Checks
If pairing still fails, have your installer check power using the instructions for your motorcycle and adapter. Share any readings already taken; you do not need to perform electrical tests to request support.
Check the P&A Fuse
- Locate the P&A fuse in the motorcycle’s fuse box
- Confirm the fuse is good
Verify Power at the Soundz Device
- Use a multimeter to check for 12V power at the Soundz device
Results
- Fuse good but no 12V at the device → the power supply needs further diagnosis. Check the circuit, connections, and P&A relay with your installer; this result alone does not confirm a faulty relay.
- 12V present but the device does not appear in Bluetooth → contact Soundz with your test results before replacing the adapter.
