Soundz 23.5 CarPlay Adapter
Troubleshooting Guide
If CarPlay is not connecting or the Soundz device is not appearing correctly, follow the steps below in order. Do not skip steps.
Step 1: Clear Previous Bluetooth Pairings on Your Phone
- Open Settings → Bluetooth
- Forget the following devices if they appear:
- HD-Rider
- Soundz (if previously attempted)
Important:
Your phone should never pair directly to the Soundz device.
Your phone only pairs to the motorcycle.
Step 2: Clear Bluetooth Devices from the Motorcycle Radio
- Open the motorcycle radio Settings
- Go to Device Manager
- Delete all Bluetooth devices
This prevents pairing conflicts.
Step 3: Pair the Motorcycle to the Soundz Device
- Start Bluetooth pairing from the motorcycle radio
- Pair the motorcycle to the Soundz device first
- Confirm the Soundz device is set to:
- Role Configuration: Rider
Do not continue until this pairing is successful.
Step 4: Pair Your Phone
- After the motorcycle and Soundz device are paired:
- Pair your phone to the motorcycle
- Confirm Apple CarPlay connects normally
Additional Power and Relay Checks
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, perform the checks below.
Check the P&A Fuse
- Locate the P&A fuse in the motorcycle’s fuse box
- Confirm the fuse is good
Verify Power at the Soundz Device
- Use a multimeter to check for 12V power at the Soundz device
Results:
- Fuse good but no 12V at device
→ The factory P&A relay is faulty - 12V present but the device does not appear in Bluetooth
→ The Soundz unit may need replacement
