Warranty Coverage
Soundz systems come with a tiered warranty based on how and where the system was purchased and installed:
- 12 Months: Applies to individual components (parts & accessories, speakers, amps, etc.) purchased separately and installed by the customer or a third party.
- 18 Months: Covers full Soundz kits installed by any party, provided the installation was performed correctly.
- 36 Months: Covers full Soundz kits installed by a Soundz-Certified Installer at a Certified or Signature Dealer.
This warranty protects against defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage from:
- Improper installation or unauthorized modifications
- Exposure to excessive water, heat, pressure washers, or harsh chemicals
- Physical abuse, cosmetic damage, or submersion
- Competition use or unauthorized repairs
The warranty is non-transferable and only valid for the original purchaser. If you need to submit a claim, visit soundz-audio.com/support to get started.
Bottom line: When installed correctly—especially by a certified Soundz dealer—you’re covered for the long haul.
Purchase any Soundz kit and have it installed at one of our certified dealers or on-site at a Soundz rally event. You’ll automatically receive the extended 3-year coverage.
No. Under federal law—the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act—Harley-Davidson cannot void your warranty just because you install an aftermarket audio system. They can only deny coverage if they can prove the aftermarket part caused the specific issue being claimed.
In fact, the FTC recently forced Harley to remove illegal and misleading language in their warranty terms that suggested otherwise. Bottom line: installing a Soundz system does not void your factory warranty. Thousands of riders install our systems on brand-new bikes without any issue.
And on top of your Harley warranty, Soundz offers a 3-year product warranty when installed by a Soundz-certified dealer—real coverage from a company that actually stands behind its gear. If a dealership gives you trouble, remind them of the law. Most of them already know.
Soundz offers two distinct product lines—SE-Series and Mirus-Series—both built for real-world riding, but each tuned for a different kind of rider.
- SE-Series: This is the flagship. Built for riders who demand maximum clarity, control, and long-haul listening comfort—even at high volume. SE systems use our most advanced components: large motor structures for authority, cast basket frames for rigidity, and are built for heat management during extended rides. Paired amplifiers deliver greater headroom and lower distortion, so the system stays clean and composed even when pushed hard, all day long.
Installation follows the same design principles as Mirus—clean, reversible, and factory-grade.
You get model-specific harnessing, pre-loaded DSP tuning, no wire cutting, and no dealer flash required.
The process is straightforward, though SE’s higher-spec components and amp architecture may require slightly more attention to mounting and management.
Still no fabrication. Still no drama.
SE is for the lifers—riders logging serious miles, chasing rally after rally, and wanting a system that goes the distance without fatigue.
Not just louder—smarter, smoother, and built to last.
- Mirus-Series: Mirus delivers much of the SE-level performance in a more compact, budget-conscious platform. It’s ideal for riders upgrading from stock or Boom!™ Stage I/II systems. These kits use lighter materials and motor structures to simplify fitment—especially in tight fairings or space-constrained builds. Amplifiers in Mirus systems still push up to ~816 watts RMS, but with less headroom than SE.
Still, you get the same DSP-calibrated tuning and factory-grade integration that define every Soundz system.
Mirus is for the weekend rippers and riders who want a major upgrade.
Which one’s right for you?
If you want refined clarity, low distortion, and consistent output mile after mile, SE is built for you.
If you want a big step up from stock with smart trade-offs and strong value, Mirus delivers.
Both systems are engineered specifically for Harley-Davidson Touring models, including 2024+ Skyline OS-equipped bikes.
Kits include optional lid speaker, lower fairing speaker, and tour pack speaker configurations, and the correct harnessing for clean, system-wide integration.
Whichever path you choose, you get Soundz-level tuning, fitment, and reliability—built for the ride.
It’s a night and day difference. Even if you’ve got Harley’s Boom!™ Stage I/II, or 2025 H-D® Stage III system, a Soundz upgrade delivers far more output, clarity, and presence—especially at highway speeds. Riders consistently report that with stock audio, the sound vanishes into wind and exhaust noise by 60 mph. With Soundz, you’re still hearing every note at 75+.
Here’s what to expect:
- Dramatically higher output: Soundz systems deliver up to 1200+ watts (depending on the kit) into high-efficiency, motorcycle-specific speakers. The result? Loud, clean audio—even with a helmet on at freeway speeds. You’re not straining to hear your music anymore—you’re immersed in it.
- Improved sound quality: It’s not just louder—it’s smarter. Soundz speakers use treated cones and neodymium magnets to stay rigid, efficient, and clear under real riding conditions. You’ll hear deeper bass, brighter vocals, and cleaner mids—even GPS prompts and talk radio come through better.
- Full frequency range: Factory systems often fall flat in the low end—cheap speakers, no real tuning, and bass that vanishes at speed. Soundz systems use tuned DSP and purpose-built speakers that compensate for how we actually hear on a bike. You’ll feel the beat, hear the nuance, and get balanced, rich sound—even at speed.
- No distortion, no cut-outs: Factory systems clip fast when pushed. Soundz amps are built with real headroom, thermal stability, and long-term durability. You can run them hard—no blown speakers, no shutdowns, no nonsense. This gear gets beat on at rallies and still plays clean.
In short: Upgrading to Soundz turns your audio from something you tolerate into something you look forward to. Riders tell us again and again—it’s the one upgrade that makes them fall in love with the ride all over again.
Not just because it’s louder—because they can finally hear their music the way it was meant to sound.
Yes—almost certainly. Soundz audio systems are designed for 1998 through current 2024+ Harley-Davidson Touring models, and they’re engineered to integrate with virtually any head unit those bikes may have—factory or aftermarket.
Whether you’re running a Boom! Box 4.3, 6.5 GT, or GTS (2014–2023), the newer Skyline OS system (2023.5+ CVO and 2024+ models), or an aftermarket unit in a 1998–2013 bike (we recommend the BOSS BEHDIN98), Soundz has it covered. Each kit includes the correct interface and factory-grade harnessing for seamless installation:
- 2014–2023 (Boom! Box GTS and earlier): Connects directly using model-specific harnessing and DSP interface—no line-level converters, no splicing.
- 2023.5+ CVO and 2024–2025 (Skyline OS): Uses a Soundz-exclusive A2B interface module with built-in DSP to communicate with the digital audio network—already tuned and compatible.
- 1998–2013 with aftermarket radios (like the BEHDIN98): Comes with the correct adapters to connect cleanly and securely.
All handlebar controls and factory functions remain intact. No loss of navigation prompts, no quirks. Soundz is built to integrate—cleanly, intelligently, and without compromise.
Installation is engineered for precision—not improvisation. Soundz kits are built for both professional dealers and capable DIYers. With factory-grade harnessing and integrated tuning, there’s no wire cutting, no soldering, and no dealer flash required.
Here’s how it breaks down:
- No Wire Cutting: Every Soundz kit includes a model-specific harness designed to connect directly to the bike’s factory radio wiring—no guesswork, no damage to stock wiring. You’ll use an inline T-harness that pulls audio signal cleanly, and battery power leads with pre-crimped terminals. It’s a bolt-in process, not a hack job.
- No Dealer Flash Required: For 2014–2023 bikes running Boom!™ Box radios, we’ve eliminated the need for a dealership visit or external flash tool. Our Soundz DSP interface includes a built-in flash process, triggered during setup with our included software. It reconfigures the factory EQ properly for Soundz systems—no risk, no surprises, no upsells at the dealership.
- Bolt-in Installation: Every component is designed to fit existing factory locations. Amplifiers are mounted in the fairing using custom brackets—never in the saddlebags. Speakers are either direct-fit or upsized when it improves performance, like converting 5.25″ fairing pods to 6.5″ or 5×7″ lids to 6×9″ on 23.5+ CVOâ„¢ bikes. Our saddlebag kits adapt the factory lids—not replacements—so your paint match and fit stay perfect. No special fab work needed outside of lid cutouts (and yes, we provide full templates).
- Pre-Tuned DSP: The interface module (not the amp) handles tuning. Whether it’s the CAN bus version for 2014–2023 or the A2B version for 2023.5+ CVO™ and 2024+ Skyline OS, the DSP comes pre-loaded with the correct sound map for your bike and kit configuration. Gains, EQ, and crossovers are already set—so you just install and ride. No amp knobs, no software confusion, no risk of blowing speakers.
- Installation Time: For a first-timer, a 2-speaker fairing kit might take a few hours—mostly due to fairing removal and clean wire routing. But with everything clearly labeled and plug-in ready, there’s little trial and error. Dealers and experienced techs can knock it out fast.
Bottom line: Soundz kits install clean, smart, and fast. No wire butchering, no splicing, no flash tools. Just precision-fit components, pre-loaded tuning, and a professional-grade result—fully reversible, but once you hear it, you won’t want to.
They’re not waterproof—but they are built to ride. Soundz components are highly weather-resistant and designed for real-world conditions: rain, heat, humidity, and road grime. Our systems have been road-tested in everything from mountain storms to Florida rallies, and they hold up day after day.
- Amplifiers are IPX-rated, sealed, and mounted inside the fairing—protected from splash and built to withstand vibration and moisture.
- Speakers use water-resistant materials throughout—cones, surrounds, and grilles are designed to handle rain, road spray, and daily use without breaking down.
- We’ve run these systems all day at events like Sturgis and Daytona, rain or shine—and they don’t flinch.
That said, don’t point a pressure washer at your speaker cones. Nothing electronic is built for that. A hose rinse or light wash? Totally fine. Just use the same common sense you’d apply to any bike component.
Bottom line: Ride in the rain. Crank it in the heat. Soundz gear is built to take it. And if anything does go wrong, our 3-year warranty has you covered—when installed by a Soundz-certified dealer.
Absolutely. Loud, clean, highway-capable audio is exactly what Soundz systems are engineered for. Many factory or entry-level systems fade as soon as you’re out of town—but Soundz holds strong at speed. Even at our preferred riding speeds (always within the posted limit, right?), the music stays front and center.
Here’s what you can expect:
- At freeway speeds—with a helmet and wind noise—you’ll still hear everything clearly: vocals, drums, solos, the works. The system has the authority to cut through the chaos without strain.
- Headroom matters: Soundz systems are tuned with dynamic range in mind. You’re not pinned at max volume just to hear your music. There’s room to spare, so it stays clean and composed. No harshness, no distortion—just consistent clarity.
Think of it like going from a tube TV to 4K UHD—not just louder, but sharper, richer, and more immersive. - Even with earplugs or a full-face helmet, you’ll feel the kick and follow the melody. Riders tell us that where the stock system gave them muffled vibration at 80 mph, Soundz gives them actual music they can enjoy.
- Tuned for the ride: Our EQ profiles are road-tested—literally. We dial in midrange and treble to counteract wind noise, so the sound that reaches your ears isn’t just louder—it’s more intelligible. This is the kind of attention to detail that comes from years of riding and refining.
- And yes, even at triple-digit speeds (on closed courses or in Mexico, of course), the audio holds up. We’re not saying break the law—but if you do, the music won’t be the weak link.
Bottom line: A Soundz-equipped Harley doesn’t just play music—it becomes part of the ride.
Your playlist isn’t background noise anymore—it’s the soundtrack to the whole experience.
And once you ride with it, you’ll never settle for stock again.
Will the high-output amplifier affect my FM/AM radio reception or cause interference?
Yes, it can—but that’s not a defect, it’s physics. Like any powerful Class-D amplifier, Soundz systems can create some electromagnetic interference—especially on bikes using internal or fairing-mounted antennas. We design our systems to minimize EMI—but if you’re sticking with FM or AM, expect some signal degradation. It’s a known trade-off with real performance.
That said, we’ll be blunt: FM, AM, and built-in SiriusXM are terrible sources. They’re heavily compressed, low-resolution, and simply can’t deliver the clarity or dynamic range our systems are built for. If you want your system to shine, start with a clean signal.
Recommended listening methods:
- 1998–2013 (BOSS BEHDIN98): Use Bluetooth streaming from your phone.
- iPhone: Max phone volume
- Android: 1–2 clicks below max to avoid clipping
- Set BOSS volume to ~75%, then adjust as needed
- Turn off any EQ, Loudness, or Enhancer settings on your phone and apps
- Stream from Amazon Music Ultra HD or Apple Music Lossless (source still matters even over Bluetooth)
- 2014–2023: Use a USB connection from your phone—not Bluetooth.
- Stream Amazon Music Ultra HD or Apple Music Lossless
- Make sure in-app quality settings are enabled
- Turn off Speed Volume in the Boom! radio settings
- Avoid the built-in SiriusXM tuner—if satellite radio matters, use the SiriusXM app on your phone instead
- 2024–2025 (Skyline OS): Use USB-C or wireless CarPlay.
- Same streaming recommendations apply
If you still want FM-style content, use TuneIn, iHeartRadio, or Audacy—they stream traditional stations in far better quality.
We’ve done everything possible on our end to clean up signal paths and suppress interference—but no antenna fix in the world will make FM sound like streamed full resolution audio.
Bottom line: You’ve upgraded your audio. Don’t feed it garbage.
Skip FM. Skip built-in Sirius. Stream clean, high-resolution audio from your phone—and hear what your system can do.
Harley-Davidson’s 2024 and newer Touring models with Skyline OS use an A2B digital audio protocol. Analog solutions like high-level inputs or line-out converters are not a proper match. These approaches introduce noise, reduce tuning capability, and often strip away factory features.
Soundz A2B solutions are built specifically for these bikes and are engineered beyond basic compatibility. Every Soundz A2B module includes an integrated DSP, not a separate box or extra accessory. Our kits are pre-tuned for each exact combination of bike, amplifier, and speakers, so the system sounds right the moment it’s setup and powered on.
There is no floor noise hiss. There is no need to manually adjust or override factory EQ settings. There is no compromise in sound quality or factory functionality.
The Soundz A2B approach preserves everything the rider expects with clean, high-resolution digital signal from the source to the amplifier.
Soundz does not make this an optional upgrade. The A2B interface and pre-tuned DSP are already included in the kit price. Riders get full performance, full control, and full confidence, backed by a 3-year warranty and rider-ready tech support.
Other A2B interfaces may appear similar but require additional components, manual tuning, and upsells to reach the same level of performance. Soundz delivers a complete and properly engineered system out of the box.
